Are you on Google + and a big fan of Coca-Cola merchandise? If so, please check out the latest interaction from the Coca-Cola Archives team. On Thursday, February 16th at 2pm EST, the team will be giving you a virtual tour on their archives through Google Hangouts. This technology will give you a behind the scenes look at the storage space. Very exciting!
Basically, Google Hangouts is a video sharing interface that will enable people who have logged in to view and interact with the live broadcast. Led by team members, Jamal Booker and Ted Ryan, the broadcasting will come from the Archives storage space where they will conduct a tour of the space. So if you are a big fan like me and can’t make a trip to the actual facility, this is the second best way to get into the room. While all viewers will be able to ask question via post or comments, some select viewers will be featured on the main screen to be a part of the live conversation. If you are planning to be a selected view know that there will be some technical requirements (webcam, proper bandwidth, etc) that they will need to verify before the event. If you want to be a selected viewer, please visit the Coca-Cola Conversations blog article for more information.
You must have a Google+ account to join the Hangout, once you are set up with Google+, to access the Archives Google+ Hangout – visit the Coca-Cola brand page on Google+ (https://plus.google.com/u/1/113050383214450284645/posts) and look for the Join This Hangout button that will appear. When you click to join, a viewer will be downloaded to your computer or mobile device and you will be in the Hangout.
Will you be there? What questions would you ask?
